Park City Weekend and Gir's Night Out

We thought we'd spend the night in Park City before Hemi's race up that way (the dirty dash). It was fun to get out and do something different. We had dinner at Maxwell's. While we waited the kids played  and one of the things they got to play with was a bobsled replica. I've never seen what a bobsled looked like in person. It's pretty cool!

Now its time to eat! Who doesn't love pizza?!

Now its back at the hotel...

We had a really good continental hot breakfast in the morning.

Then Hemi went off to do his run with my siblings. I hung out with my sister Kaycee.
That evening when our husband's got back Kaycee and I took our oldest girls on a girl's night out. We went to Chuck-A-Rama. WE LOVE buffets.

Then we went to get colored extensions in our hair. We all chose a maroon color.

Here we all our trying to show you the color. :) It was SO much fun just being with the girls and not having to worry about the rowdy boys and babies. I Love girl's nights out!

USA Craft

So, I am on this group "Herriman 24/7 yard sale" on FB. Its just like KSL but most the people are from Herriman selling things. I saw a lady who was selling these block letters for what I thought was over priced ($20 for USA) I wanted them so bad, but wasn't going to pay that price. THEN I saw a lady who sells just the block letters that you can decorate yourself for WAY cheaper. So that's what I did...
The Wood letters...

Painted them...

Mod Podged scrapbook paper on them...

Hung them...

VUALA! (SP?) It was a lot of fun to do and only cost me $7.

Labor day

I love Labor day.
Hemi thought it would be fun and different to go to Park City. So that's what we did...

We found a park and had a picnic.

Let the kids play

Then we went downtown main street. It was pretty hot walking around so we got on the free trolley and let that drive us.

The two older kids thought it was a lot of fun.

That evening we got together with my dad's side and had a dinner at my cousin April's house to celebrate this special lady's birthday, Grandma Pete.

The kids had sooo much fun playing in the pool.

A really good way to end summer.

Family Reunion At Palisades state Park

This weekend my Fmaily went down to Palisades state park for our family reunion. It was a lot of  fun. My little family slept in a tent at Palisades. My parents spelt at this super cute pioneer cabin. The owner restored the inside to make it look just like it would in the 1800's. But the structure is all original.

We went to the Sanpete County Fair. The kids had fun doing farm activities.

Riding their tractors

Picking vegetables from the garden

Milking a cow

Farmer, Grandpa Bill

My mom, Hannah and my niece Abbey

For dinner we went back to where my parents were staying and roasted hot dogs and had S'mores after. The owner of the house my parents were renting lives in this other pioneer house. It was pretty cool.

Then we headed off the the dance. The kids had so much fun.

Then it was bed time, back in the tent. Here Hemi was telling the kids stories.
