February 4th 2005, A Look Back at Our Big Day

3+ years ago a friend asked "How did  you know Hemi was the one you should marry?" At the time I was put on the spot and wasn't sure how to answer that question and since then I've reflected on that question from time to time and have found the answers I wish I would had shared.
I was away from him for 3 months and wanted more then anything to be with him.
Once we met in person I didn't want to spend another second away.
I had writen what I wanted in a husband on paper and he was that and more then I could ever imagine finding in a man.
He helped me become a better person.
I know without a shadow of a doubt Heavenly father led us to each other's path's.
I thought I was SO in love with this guy 8 years ago but it has grown SOOO much more since then. Even to this day I get excited for him to come home from work and live for the weekends to spend time with Hemi. I couldn't had picked a better guy. Hemi's and My song is "Keeper of the Stars" by Tracy Byrd because it fits us to a T...
"It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew
Now I just can't believe you're in my life
Heaven's smilin' down on me
As I look at you tonight

I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

Soft moonlight on your face oh how you shine
It takes my breath away
Just to look into your eyes
I know I don't deserve a treasure like you
There really are no words
To show my gratitude

So I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars
He sure knew what he was doin'
When he joined these two hearts
I hold everything
When I hold you in my arms
I've got all I'll ever need
Thanks to the keeper of the stars

It was no accident me finding you
Someone had a hand in it
Long before we ever knew"

A look back at our big day...

I LOVED the St. George temple since I was a youth. It's so beautiful and the history of it is awesome. and nice warm St. George. in February it was in the 60's.

So grateful all my grandparents where there for me.

Even my BFF's made the trek.

My sister's and two of my cousin's.

My bro's welcoming their new Brother in law.

I couldn't had done it with out my amazing parents.

Hemi had one man on his side and that was his comp form his mission. (Because his family and friends live in New Zealand)

Then we RUSHED back form St. George to have a reception in Salt Lake with more friends and Family.

We went with a Pacific Island theme  ;) I LOVED my flowers.

My reception was a BLAST. It was a big party with dancing.
I LOVED the Daddy/daughter song from Trace Adkins "Then They Do"...
"In the early rush of morning,
Trying to get the kids to school:
One's hanging on my shirt-tail,
Another's locked up in her room.
And I'm yelling up the stairs:
"Stop worrying 'bout your hair, you look fine."

Then they're fightin' in the backseat,
And I'm playing referee.
Now someone's gotta go,
The moment that we leave.
And everybody's late,
I swear that I can't wait till they grow up.

Then they do, and that's how it is.
It's just quiet in the mornin',
Can't believe how much you miss,
All they do and all they did.
You want all the dreams they dreamed of to come true:
Then they do.

Now the youngest is starting college,
She'll be leavin' in the Fall.
And Brianna's latest boyfriend,
Called to ask if we could talk.
And I got the impression,
That he's about to pop the question any day.

I look over at their pictures,
Sittin' in their frames.
I see them as babies:
I guess that'll never change.
You pray all their lives,
That someday they will find happiness.

Then they do, and that's how it is.
It's just quiet in the mornin',
Can't believe how much you miss,
All they do and all they did.
You want all the dreams they dreamed of to come true:
Then they do.

No more Monday PTA's,
No carpools, or soccer games.
Your work is done.
Now you've got time that's all your own.
You've been waitin' for so long,
For those days to come.

Then they do, and that's how it is.
It's just quiet in the mornin',
Can't believe how much you miss,
All they do and all they did.
You want all the dreams they dreamed of to come true:
Then they do.

Ah, then they do."

My first love...

My new love...

My Uncle Ray is an amazing singer and entertainer.

I'm so grateful for the family we had to support us. I know it seemed weird to some how Hemi and I met and got married so quick but when you KNOW he's the one, why wait? It was an Amazing day and I can't believe it's already been 8 years.

I am SOOO excited for eternity w/this man. He completes me.
Happy Anniversary Hemi.

I didn't get to read this till it was 2 weeks old since I was in the hospital then, but I'm sitting here crying over your beautiful story and remembering the thrill of sharing it with you. I even remember the Green's at your little reception in St George the night before. So much fun and excitement. I'm so happy for you both and love you both with all my heart. You were meant for each other.
