My Birthday

First My LONG time friend surprised me the day before and took me to lunch.
(A picture to give you an idea of who I'm talking about...)

THEN on the actual day...
Thanks to the BEST husband in the world I had the BEST Birthday EVER!
Like every Saturday we hit up some yard sales in our area, then Hemi casually drove over to my mom's house. (She lives in the same areas as me) but to my surprise we stopped in. We dropped off my kids to my sister Tawni. Hemi took me to Kneaders down the road for breakfast.
It was pretty cool because they had the place decorated for the month of August in a Happy Birthday theme. =0)

I haven't ever had their french toast and boy was I missing out. It was THE best french toast I've ever had. Its a MUST try. PLUS $5 for the best french toast you'll ever taste and its ALL YOU CAN EAT!
If you can't tell by the picture, I'm pretty excited. (that is one huge, cheesy smile)

THEN Hemi handed me my present. A gift card visa. :) He knows me TOO WELL! I LOVE shopping...

...and I spent the whole thing in an hour.

That night my parents hosted my birthday party at their house.

Some of the clan...

Something I couldn't get pictures of was how much Hemi did for me that WHOLE day. He took care of the kid's EVERY need and waited on me hand and foot. He sure knows how to make a girl feel special.
I heard a Question this week "What was the best birthday present you've ever gotten?" I have two answers for that... One being born in to the best family EVER. (They are perfect for me) and being born to a family already active members of the LDS Church. Seriously the BEST BIRTHday gift I could ever ask for.

Friday the 13th

Normally I love Friday the 13th. They usually are pretty good days for me and so I look forward to them. Today was a little bit different but we tried so hard to make the best of it.
I woke up all happy but the two youngest have been fighting so much and not listening so that just put me in a bad mood. BUT we weren't going to let this good day go to waist. SO we went to lunch at Burger King. Houston enjoyed the crown the best.:)

Then we went to Jungle Jim's to let the kids play. This was the best Hour and a half of the whole day. They had so much fun! Adelaide hasn't really been on rides before so she was a little scared at first but loved it after the first one.

Hannah and Houston on the bumper cars. Hemi and I loved watching them.

Then we went to Home Depot (I love getting ideas for our house there) The kids were AWFUL! Adelaide wouldn't stop running around and ran in to one of those huge stair/ladders that the workers use and cut her lip in two different spots, but that didn't stop her from acting up, So we got home at 8:30 and everyone got put to bed.
I really hope this isn't a new streak for my Friday the 13ths.

July 4th...and 5th

One of my favorite holidays is the 4th of July because it usually means swimming, bbqs, family/friends, out to eat, fireworks, and warm summer nights. Here's how my
4th went down...

Camping with my BFF, staying up late eating junk food.

sleeping in tents

Breakfast at Jeremiah's.

The kids LOVED their tent they slept in all by them selves.

Swimming

Then we had a BBQ w/my family on my mom's side.
The kids loved the little kiddy pool and running in the sprinklers.

Then realizing great minds dress a like... and sit a like. lol

The kids watching fireworks...

After fireworks I got to bed about 12Am and at 3Am I got a call from my sister Kaycee that she was in labor. I got to her house about 4:15 with my mom, my brother Dallin (the babysitter) and all my kids.
Kaycee wanted to stay at home as long as she could. About 5 we made our way to the hospital.
In the room was My mom, myself, Hannah,Kaycee's daughter Abbey, Kaycee's husband Robby, my cousin Ashlie (Kaycee's doula) and Kaycee's other doula Michelle.

Kaycee went natural (for her second time). She did really good. I'm proud of her.

At about 8:45 Kaycee got her water broke and was dilated to a 6. at 9 (15 minutes later) Kaycee felt like the baby was coming. Michelle, her doula kept trying to push the call button on Kaycee's bed to get a nurse in. (not knowing until later that it doesnt work) The nurse never came.
Then Michelle said "The head is out" I ran to the hall and called out to the nurse to tell them the head was out. When me and the nurses ran in the room Eliza was already born.
She is so cute! weighing 8 lbs 1 oz.
